661 Mini DH This Sunday

This Sunday 2nd December is the start of the 661 Mini Downhill race in the Forest of Dean for this winter season.

Ski run is being used for this race always a very popular track with the riders it's a real good blast down the hill and really good for viewing for spectators. The race is sold out & brimming to over following with riders including a few well know names from the past making a return to racing.

This race also has the over 16 women competing thanks to help of Sarah Muir from Diva Descent who has put together a skills session for all women taking part. Katy Curd will be on hand to give all these luck girls a skills session and some tips on how to win at FoD.

The Rippers - we started this category way back when we first started racing in the Forest of Dean from which this category has been adopted by British Cycling and spreading across the country. This Sunday we have 16 Rippers from 10 to 12 years olds racing so good to see all these young rippers coming into the sport.

Spectators - its free to watch or why not knock out a few runs out on the other Downhill tracks that are open as usual. Please remember to get a parking ticket as the Forestry will be out checking cars and issuing fines. If you competitor we will give you parking ticket for your car.

For budding Alex Rankin's or Clay Porter's out there is a Video competition at every race this winter thanks to Action Cameras who are putting up the prize of a Drift HD camera for each race.

To win the Video comp you need to do these 3 simple things

1) Video the race
2) download and stick the Action Cameras & Mini DH logos onto the video.
3) Upload it to Mpora and tag it with Action Cameras, 661 Mini Downhill

The winner of the camera is the video that gets the most views on Mpora by Friday 25th January 2013. So get those edit done and up on to Mpora. The camera will presented to you on the Podium at 661 Mini DH race on Sunday 27th January.
